“Day Twenty-three”

10/23/2018                                                      Brother John Murphy

Father God, help me to Purify myself so that I can be of help to others.”

(Nehemiah 12:30-31)

Father God, forgive me for my sins and purge me from my iniquities. Continue to work within me the will to do Your Will and follow Your Commandments. I thank You for the opportunity made by You, Father God, to have benefited from Your Mercy and Grace to call Your Name, The Matchless Name of Jesus, The Only Name that saves. Father God, purify my thoughts right now. My heart needs You, Lord. I want my heart to be pure even now.

Father God, I thank You for this church, Abundant Grace Apostolic Church House of Prayer, and the wisdom and teachings I receive from this church You put me in. The wise words for the appointed leaders and Elders in the church that You have spoken through many times. I thank You for every word heard. I thank You for an ear to hear, and heart to understand, and the strength I can use for the Kingdom. For a certainty, I have confidence to say this earth is not my home. Surely we go back to the dirt, but as much as I know this to be true, I know another truth, when we sleep in You or we are here to see You Return there is a place You have appointed. We as flesh live in time. We are surrounded by time, even down to the grass we walk on, it grows in time. The insects or crawling beast, they come and go in times. Father, there is a time for everything even the end to this old earth. But, I know that there is a place prepared for me, where the woes of this flesh are gone, where love and peace are pure, where the very Glory of You, Father God, shines for eternity. My home is with the Lord, the Glory of God. Psalms 27:4 says one thing have I desired of the lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in His temple. Alleluia!!!!

Nehemiah 12:30-31

30: And the priests and the levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall. 31: Then I brought up the princes of judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

Father God, as the priests and the Levites did, help me to purify myself so I can be led by You. Your Word says that with the pure You will show Yourself pure. Lord, I want to be pure in righteousness, pure in thanksgiving, pure in offering, pure in praise, pure in heart, with the heart we serve You, Lord. Father God, in order for something to become pure a process must take place. As a man, the process of purification is to eliminate all things that do not make a substance whole. It’s a filtering process. Just like You gave man the understanding of this, have a process as well, we go through trials, test, and tribulation so that things that are not like You are filtered out of us, Thank You Jesus!!!

Father God, I want nothing but You in my heart. The flesh wants to behold things that are not of You, and hear things that are wicked; but, place a standard within me that I don’t want to even look at an unclean thing or open my ear to wicked conversations. Instead, make me pure in righteousness so that I can be used by You, and that You will show Yourself pure unto me.

Father God, I also ask that give me the ability to block doubt and unclean thoughts that try to step into my heart. I want to be able to filter out everything but You, so that You can lead me to be of help to others being led by Your Spirit removing carnal thoughts. Lord, sometimes to be purified it takes more than one filtration process. Your Word says seven times a man tries silver, so if a material needs that much filtration then surely the heart needs it. So Lord, give me strength and endurance to be able to withstand and once pure remain that way. Psalms 24:3-5 says who shall ascend into the hill of the lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place. 4: He that hath clean hand, and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5: He shall receive the blessing from the Lord , and righteousness from the God of salvation. Father God, as the priest and Levites were purified in their minds, help me to make myself pure, and be led by Your Spirit, so that I can help those that need it, whether in spirit or in deed. These things I ask in Jesus Name Amen!!!!
