“Day Twenty-six”

10/26/2018                                            Sister Shakica Washington

Father God, teach me how to teach others to “Thank You” in Prayer!!

(Nehemiah 11: 17)

Father God, our brother Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, The son of Asaph, was the principle to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

Father God, You gave him the understanding to Thank You in prayer. So, how do we begin to understand how to instruct others? Father God, teach me how to teach others to “Thank You” in prayer. Father, we need to learn the correct way of “Thanking You” in prayer. This is not as simple as saying thank you to a stranger for opening a door for you. We know who we are praying to, we are praying to Someone that is truly Worthy to be honored and thanked, because You gave Your Life for our sins. Father, we need to understand the correct way to “Thank You” in prayer, just as we must learn the Word, the True Word, so that we may live according to the Word of God.

Father God, we have always been told that if it isn’t from the heart or if you are not given it up freely then keep it. Father God, teach me to teach others to “Thank You” in pray freely from their hearts. Don’t let them be made to say it. Teach them if it comes from the heart on your own accord then it will be a much sweeter gift unto You. Father, not only should we teach others to “Thank You” in prayer in good times, we should “Thank You” in the bad times. We know that it’s because of the bad times we feel that we know that You have brought us through it to our good time. If it wasn’t for the bad, we wouldn’t know the good.

Father God, teach me how to teach others to “Thank You” in prayer, so that in our prayers we can begin and end with “Thank You.” We need clear knowledge on the correct way to “Thank You” in prayer, so that we know how to truly know how to honor You for all the blessings You have given us. Every father needs to know how much their children truly are “Thankful,” love him, cherish, and worship the sacrifices that God has made for them. So, learning the correct way to say “Thank You” is very important to us because besides worshipping You, Father, is the only other way that we can show our love.

Father God, thank You for placing in me what is needed to teach others on how to “Thank You” in prayer. This lesson, just like learning the truth in Your Words, is very important for our souls. There are correct ways to learn all things, some may say “Thank You” should be easy but it shouldn’t because your sacrifice may be easy for you but not us. We could not handle what You went through. Father God, we thank You for Your Love on the cross, we Thank You for what You continue to do each day. Father, thank You for Your Holy Ghost, Thank You for Repentance, and Thank You for Baptism in Jesus Holy Name. Father God, we pray that we continue in knowledge in Your Perfect Way. Father, we ask You this in Jesus Holy Name! Amen.
