Today's Message:  Love Does not Delight in Evil

Definitions

Love:  1) a feeling of strong attachment induced by that which delights or commands admiration; preeminent kindness or devotion toward another. 2) especially, devoted attachment to or tender or passionate affection for 3) the object of attachment; devotion, or admiration 4) to take delight or pleasure in; to have a strong liking or desire for, or interest in, to be pleased with

 

  • 1 John 2:15 Love Not The World

 

Desire:   1) the natural longing that is excited by the enjoyment or the thought of any good, and impels to action or effort its continuance or possession; an eager wish to obtain or enjoy 2) an emotion or excitement of the mind, directed to the attainment or possession of an object from which pleasure, sensual, intellectual or spiritual is expected; a passion excited by the love of an object, or uneasiness at the want of it, and directed to its attainment or possession. Desire is a wish to possess some gratification or source of happiness which is supposed to be obtainable. A wish may exist for something that is or is not obtainable. Desire, when directed solely to sensual enjoyment, differs little from appetite.

Evil 1) Having or exhibiting bad moral qualities; morally corrupt; wicked, wrong; vicious; as evil conduct, thoughts, heart, words, and the like 2) Producing or threatening sorrow, distress, injury, or calamity; unpropitious; calamitous; as evil tidings; evil arrows.
