“Day Twelve”

10/12/2018                                                                                              Elder James O. Vaughns

Father God, cause us to meet “Opposition of Violence with Prayer”!

 (Nehemiah 4: 7-12)

Nehemiah 4:7-12:

7. But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,

8. And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.

9. Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

10. And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.

11. And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.

12. And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you.

Father God and Lord Jesus, in the Name of Jesus, You possess all powers and strength in Your Hands; and, there is not another god or things that You do not have control, mastery, dominion, or authority over, including all the adversaries of God.

Father God, we first ask for the sprinkling of Your Blood totally and thoroughly and throughout our consciences and ask Thee to forgive all sins, all iniquities, all transgressions, and trespasses against a Holy God and a Holy Heaven, especially including all doubt and unbelief.

Father God, of a truth, we have enemies, and they laugh and are opposed at and to the good work, which You have assigned us to do. But, O Lord, how can we complete this work unless our faith be seen by You at such a time as this, and be pleasing to You? Lord Jesus, now, increase our faith for this and other works which You would have us to do and complete. Further, Lord Jesus, cause us to have the passion toward completing this mission as You gave to Ezra and Nehemiah and the Laborers You gave them to finish the work.

O Lord, people are watching and judging our progress here at Abundant Grace Apostolic Church, 7601 Scott Hamilton Dr., Little Rock, AR 72209. They see the project not completed, they see the gates or fences not in place, they see no expansions of the second and third stories, nor the additions to the building. However, they do see water continually standing on the roof, and our parking lot not paved, etc., and they are laughing and making ridicule and fun of us. “That Church!”

O Our God, wilt thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company of (mockers, haters of God, vandals, thieves, robbers, bankers, lending institutes, and other hindrances seen and unseen, known and unknown) that cometh against us; neither, O Lord, know we what to do. But our eyes are upon Thee.

Father God, cause a perpetual stay to be put and kept in place against all these who desire to do indirect and direct violence to us, in our ongoing mission to complete the vision.

Father God, we stand in the hope and trust in Your Word, which says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” And, O Lord, we are Thy servants.

Father God, cause our eyes and heart to totally and completely look unto the hills (Jesus) from whence cometh our help.

Further, Father God, it is written, and we believe that “all of our help cometh from thee, O Lord, which made heaven and earth.”

Awaken Now, O Lord, to our pleas and cries for help and greater assistance because it is written that Thou will not suffer our feet to be moved; and that the Jesus that keepeth thee (You, O Lord) will not slumber.

Arise O Lord, and see our efforts and faith, at such a time as this, and see the reproach.

Arise, arise O Lord, to the performance of Your Word that You covenant with Yourself, and gave to us to fight or rather at times, stand still and rest and give over the battle to You. O Lord, and this we agree as “ONE” and we do, that the battle is not ours, but Thine. O Lord, cause the performance of Your Word for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

And, Lord, do according to Your Word, as You did when Pharaoh opposed You. Do, O Lord, according Your Word as You did when Haman opposed You. Do according to Your Word as You did against the enemies of Israel, Nehemiah, and Ezra who were opposed to the good work that they were attempting to do.

O Lord, just as You did in all of those cases and situations, and others, “cause their efforts to come to naught,” and cause every heart to forever believe in Thee (O Lord Jesus) in order that we be established. Cause us to believe in the true prophets of God in order that we prosper in this good work and all other endeavors. We ask in prayer and we call it done, all in the Mighty Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, because You are the same today, yesterday, and forever. Amen and AMEN.
