“Day Fourteen”

10/14/2018                                   Elder Lendora Sabbs

“Father God, Cause us to be more “Thankful” for the generosity of the Nehemiah’s over our Souls”

(Nehemiah 5: 14-18)

Father in the Name of Jesus Christ, I come into Your Gates with Thanksgiving and into Your Courts with praise. Alleluia! And, all praise unto our God. Blessed be the Name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the Lord’s Name is to be praised. Alleluia!!!

Nehemiah 5:14-18

14 Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that is, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor. 15 But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God. 16 Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work. 17 Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us. 18 Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.

Father God, cause us to be more “Thankful” for the generosity of the Nehemiah’s over our Souls!

Father, thank You for giving us a Shepard after Your Own Heart. We thank You for her generosity; which is defined as giving readily and unselfishly. Thank You for showing Yourself in the Word that we are fed. Lord, she submitted herself to Your Word when the command to feed my sheep and Your lambs was giving. Thank You, Jesus.

Father, we thank You for all the leaders You have placed in the body that feed Your people and care for the souls of others, whether its cleaning, printing the prayers, or cooking. There is a tireless effect in the ministry that have been taught of old to be on one accord in the Word of Truth. It is up to us to show You that we appreciate Your Love for our souls by being thankful and obedient, having honor in our hearts for Pastor and Ministers.

Father, You have also allowed us to see through our Pastor’s eyes what it is like to be unselfish like Nehemiah. He was not chargeable to the people. We are taught the Truth on every level, health, black history, dressing modestly, how to conduct ourselves with the world and each other, what to pray for, how to pray, how to give, and when we are invited to go somewhere when to go and when not to go.

In closing of this prayer, Father, we say thank You for the generosity of the Nehemiah’s over our souls in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
